My simple plan life

There are many bands that have influenced my life. Lately I have been influenced by The Academy Is… But before that, I was really impacted by a band called Simple Plan, aka SP.

It started a little before high school. I was on launch.yahoo.com where you can make your own radio station with whatever bands you like. I was looking at my friend’s station. And I noticed that she had this band called Simple Plan on her station. I had never heard of them, so I checked them out. I started to see their videos on Fuse, more and more. I really started to like them, so I bought their first album. At the time I really enjoyed it. I could relate to it in many ways and it helped me with all my problems.

All through out high school SP was in some ways, there for me. In my junior year of high school, I joined their street team. The Simple Plan Invasion Crew, or SPIC. I was able to meet so many other fans and help the band while having the chance to win free stuff. It was pretty cool. I made a lot of friends, especially one in particular during our gift exchange.

So now I here I am, waiting for their new album to come out. I have not had as many problems as I had in high school, but I know that if I do, SP will be there to help me solve them. And now the street team is like a big family, which is still getting to know each other. While fighting off all those SP haters! (Arrgh!)

One day, I hope to meet the members of SP to tell them how much they mean to me. I know they probably hear that stuff all the time, but it would mean a lot to tell them in person. I also wish someday that I could direct one of their videos, (refer to AP Issue #187).

Until then, I continue to be a fan and enjoy everything the SPIC has to offer. I am also waiting for them to go on tour since I only got to see them once. So that’s my story.

How It Got This Way!

Use this template when you want to use photos and text to tell your story. Click EasyEdit, then highlight this text with your cursor and type over it with your own words: You can write as much as you want!

Heres what you have to do:

Create A New Page (Remember under Fans Tell All)
Name it with Your Name/Nickname (Which ever one you want to use)
Pick any layout you want (Or create your own)
Start typing away your stories/expericences with SP.
You may add your contact info ONLY IF YOU WANT (myspace, AIM, etc.)
Post Pictures.

All about InvasionCrew.com

The Invasion Crew is a online street team. It was created in 2002 by Simple Plan and managed by Fanscape (an online marketing company). The Invasion Crew’s main job is to promote Simple Plan in any way they can either online or offline. Fanscape sends out weekly emails with missions, which are actually contest to see who does the most promoting for the band. In return who ever does the most promoting they get the chance to win some awesome prizes like autograph cds, Simple Plan Merchandise, autograph posters and/or photos.

In the last few years the Invasion Crew became more than just a street team. It became a community, a family to all of us. We all gathered on the Fanscape IC message board to talk about Simple Plan to the most random things. Some fans even got to meet some of the other IC members at Simple Plan concerts and from there they became friends. The IC is also there to help each other. You got a problem most of the IC had an answer or suggestion to help you out.

Some of Invasion Crew members decided to put this site together. Reason being we all needed a place to call our own, just with a touch of us. And with some help from the rest of the IC contributing to the site they too will call it their own. Hoping that in the near future that this will be the place where all the IC members meet for some random chitchat to planning their next Simple Plan concert meeting.

Fanscape might run the street team with missions and all but here we run our community, our little family that we all have become. Each IC member has made his or her most memorable online memory on the IC. Some have just passed on by, but most of us are here to stay for the long run. For that reason this site is here. Say one day the street team is no longer there, then there will always be this site that is run but some IC members. And maybe we will run our own team with missions and contest and all.

As for Simple Plan we all know how much they care for all of us, and what better way to show them how much we care for them is by showing them we will always be there for them, here online at InvasionCrew.com.
